On the Feast of Remigius

From the Book of Common Prayer:

O God, by the teaching of your faithful servant and bishop Remigius you turned the nation of the Franks from vain idolatry to the worship of you, the true and living God, in the fullness of the catholic faith: Grant that we who glory in the name of Christian may show forth our faith in worthy deeds; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Happy October! It's a crisp Thursday in Suburbia Majora, the first day of Fiscal Year 2010, and the Feast of Remigius, the Sixth Century Bishop of Rheims. Bishop Remigius is remembered for bringing the light of the Gospel to the Kingdom of the Franks. I suspect they are in line for an apology from LA's Bishop Bruno for being converted from the carefree life of pagan bondage to a life of faith in the Almighty.
